Shimon Peres & George Soros, two world figures.

Politicians respect other politicians that survive at or around the top for as long as he has. When Israel was formed he was there close to the top. It is now 63 years later and he is the president. And in between he was always there floating around at the top or very close. He also gets the same type of subconscious respect from regular people. In politics, he is “Michael Jordan”. An all time great. Soros is a different story. He is a man with very strong convictions. And he is willing to play dirty to achieve his long-term dream of a unified pink Keynesian economic system. But it is what he understand. People like him make their money from being close to politicians all their lives. Doesn’t matter right or left, they are close to one side. And that means a lot of business related to how the government operates. When a government decides to provide something to a newly created group of takers, or to expand an existing program, that new service or product must be provided by someone. And the George Soroses of the world are always the service providers. So in his mind government works. Worked for him all his life. You can only see the world from the ride you are taking. Some see more because they look out the window more often. and thus have a greater prospective. He is not one of them. He got into the car and kept his eyes straight forward. At 82 years old he is convinced. Because he was convinced from the start and never bothered to doubt and ask questions. You can see it. The disdain that he has for those that don’t think like him makes it easy to see. The underhanded tactics he is willing to employ are just testimony to the fire in him. The convinced don’t worry about many moral obstacles. The goal is the highest morality. They also don’t hear the other side’s argument in order to defeat it on intellectual grounds. They dismiss the arguer as stupid, bad, selfish, evil, and what ever else is the flavor of the day. Peres was never that way. he had moments. But showing respect even when he faked it was his weapon of choice. They both did pretty well for themselves though.
