Give government unlimited power to spend and this is what it looks like.
Governments in the western world have taxed and regulated the private market to it's knees. They tax people and businesses and give that money away to their friends. New groups of benefits to help newly created groups were and are introduced on, on going basis. And worst of all, it changed and continually changing people. People now see it as their natural born right to have others provide for them. The line of where fair is is somewhere in the how much the productive to transfer to the non productive and in what ways with that service or product be provided. It is time to start moving the other way. We will at the end. Reality smacks you in the face at one point. And when it will it will be a huge explosion if we don't start moving away from Keynesian economics and make the individual responsible for him/her self. Anytime politicians identify and pass laws supporting a new group of perceived or politically powerful one, they also create future generations of people that will depend on this support as a way of life. For example, if you have x% single mother households, and laws to proved for this group are passed, the x% of single mother households getting that support would grow exponentially. It becomes a financial option, and thus attracts women to choose that life style. It doesn't make them rich, but it sure helps pay the bills without having to work.
