Sharing The Cake

Sharing the Cake. There is no cake but the cake the productive produce. It must be recreated day after day year after year. It is not yours but the share of it that you earned. The rest is someone else’s sweat and hours. Should you get it? Is it fair? If so why? Why do they owe you? And if they do, what for? and who is owed? If it is morals at the core of it, is it not better that most of the help is provided by privately financed charities? With lower taxes, there will be substantial increase in charity giving. It is a fact researched and proved over the years many times. So the once that believe that it is morally right will contribute. The once that don’t believe that they have responsibility to provide sweat and hours of their lives, extracted through taxes, to people they only share a country with, and have no clue who they are, will not. Is that not the ultimate fairness. There are things we all share as citizens of a given country, so everyone must pay for that. And it does include help for others in some places. But anything beyond that should not be forced on unwilling individuals.
