With all the racism that is real

With all the racism that is real, there is a lot of good will as well. It is relatively easy to think about what is right to do. It is far harder to make it so. Within a society of general good will, there are many forces. Some are not as good as others. But they are the players in the game and they do have meaningful amount of energy vested over many years. And as such they would take a long time to dislodge. The United States is a country that people migrate to from all over the world. Consequently, there is natural friction between groups. Over time the friction eases and the different groups merge into one. It is a process not without pain. But nevertheless one that we must go through. Social evolution doesn’t allow us to skip this step. In nature there is something called carrying capacity. It means that an island can support just so many animals of any one type. For early humans that reality forced people to move away. Over time these people evolved and developed specialties that were best for their particular environment. The passage of time and continual improvement in transportation brought back into contact people that were essentially separated and isolated from each other. That meant mixing of the different. It was always a dirty process. It has been going on for many thousands of years. It has accelerated greatly over the years. Integration is a painful process. Nevertheless in the long run it is a good process. It makes us all better. Each group brings to the game unique characteristics. The merging of these genetic pools into one greater one, improves us all. A boy with a black father and a white mother get the best of both worlds. We know that the more dominant genetic material is the one chosen more often than not ny nature. Obviously each group has the winning genetic makeup for survival in their unique historic environment. It is not always easy to discern who brings what to the table. It is even harder to truly know what parts of whom add what to the mix. Nevertheless one thing is clear. We all bring currency to the game. And clearly we are all lucky for that in the long run.
